Cliff Dunn and Paul Murphy of Personal Estate Agents with TV presenter, Phil Spencer.

A Glasgow-based estate agency has been voted the Best in Scotland for the fifth year running in the 2008 Estate Agent of the Year Awards.

Personal Estate Agents won the Gold Award in the Scotland category in this year’s awards, which are based on a satisfaction survey of services offered and received by an estate agent’s own customers.

Paul Murphy and Cliff Dunn of the winning agency, located in Coustonholm Road, Shawlands, Glasgow, said they were delighted with this latest success and thanked their customers.

“They voted for us so it’s the highest recommendation we could wish for,” said said Paul. “Cliff and I pride ourselves on offering an unrivalled personal service.

“We handle every aspect of the sale of someone’s home - from the day they decide to sell, through viewings to the conclusion of the sale.

“It’s a tough industry but we are determined to help our clients as best we can.”

The Awards, sponsored by the Property Search Group (PSG) and supported by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and FindaProperty.com, aim to help raise and maintain standards throughout the estate agency sector.

TV presenter, Phil Spencer who handed over the Awards said: “It’s fantastic to see agents getting the credit they deserve after all the negative press they receive.

“Throughout the property industry there is a constant need to improve customer service and these awards go along way to help agents focus on keeping clients happy.

“After all the most powerful marketing tool for Agents is word of mouth so customer satisfaction is key.”

Tweedie Brown, Group Managing Director of PSG, the headline sponsor, said:

“I would like to congratulate Personal Estate Agents in its quest to help raise standards through its ability to deliver excellent service to both customers buying and selling homes.”
